THE FABERGÉ BIG EGG HUNT

The present was an egg laid by the past that had the future inside its shell. ~  Zora Neale Hurston

walking on madison avenue, i caught sight of a big egg in the window of a shop.  further down, a few blocks thereafter, i spotted another egg.  these eggs were a luvFIND.  i was to discover that the eggs on display were part of  an egg hunt.  The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt, a charity initiative, which will raise funds for ‘elephant family’, that supports asia’s endangered elephants, and ‘studio in a school’, that supports children in New York City.  over 250 eggs created by renowned artists, fashion designers and architects are currently displayed in the 5 boroughs of the city waiting to be hunted.  discovering these egg creations is a prize in itself, but this 100% charitable egg hunt has prizes as well.  i so like this egg hunt.  i so like the future inside these eggs.  i am hunting.  this big egg hunt is for thebestdressup now!

Now this is a different benefit event! Interesting. Thanks for sharing.

  2. What a cool idea for a fundraiser! I remember seeing a display of faberge eggs at the Detroit Institute of Art many many years ago.

It was a bit a challenge to find the eggs inside of the retails; yet overall the process of hunting was fun! 🙂 http://styling-on-the-edge.com/2014/04/07/everyones-a-winner-join-the-nyc-faberge-big-egg-hunt/
