the streets had been redirected, and going in circles looking for our destination, under time constraints, turned out to be a revelation.  we probably would have missed the experience, but it was my luck to find the most kind ‘fed ex’ driver who took the time to show us the way.  with much anticipation we arrived ‘delivered’ at the MuCEM – Musée des civilisations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée in marseille, france.  this museum is a revelation of art and architecture.  the splendid structure was designed by RUDY RICCIOTTI | A AS ARCHITECTUREand the port location could not be more favorable.  inside the museum, on the rooftop, sits an outstanding restaurant, where you are treated to three michelin star chef Gérald Passédat‘s cuisine, and to panoramic views that are just as interesting as the museum’s art.  the luvFAB MuCEM – Musée des civilisations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée is a definite luvMUST.  circling marseille was a visual revelation; this city turned out to be a luvFIND.  the city has undergone a cultural and architectural transformation, and i found much more than just luvSTUFF.  i was impressed with the human creative skill and imagination that abounded everywhere i looked.  but the kindness and hospitality of a stranger, who took the time to guide me to my destination, has left a far deeper effect.  art and kindness.  interesting to find the effects these expressions reveal.  two different human expressions that transform thebestdressup now!

  8. All I saw of Marseille was from the steps of the train station, en route to Nice. And to be honest the city below and way beyond looked incredible. Shame I didn’t stay. As I thought of Nice as Oxford Street sur la mer!
