a breathtaking birthday

i love birthdays.  recently, my dear friend, daniel, had a birthday celebration, which brought to mind that on that first day is when we take our first breath, and that celebrating for as long as we take a breath is what it’s about.  my dear friend thought of every detail.  sharing the celebration of this day, with those who reciprocate his affection and esteem, was his gift to himself.  he wanted to celebrate and you were his gift.  just luvFAB to be so valued.  at the charming ‘le bistrot du paradou’, in maussane-les-alpilles, france, a birthday was celebrated.  a celebration which took many breaths.  a breathtaking birthday.  on the day of our birth, the first breath taken initiates life. breathtaking moments make a life.  breathtaking birthdays are for thebestdressup now!

wow! how wonderful and how nicely said! & I’m dying to know what type of food that is top right … salmon tart? ??

    • ciao! ahhh thanks and, yes, it was wonderful to have been included in this birthday celebration. the dish was filet de rouget (red mullet filet), seared in olive oil and served cold with the crunchiest snow peas, a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and parsley. the provencal menu at le bistrot du paradou was just delicious.
