a summer breeze

south beach, miami, the best dress up

If only there could be an invention that bottled up a memory, like scent.  And it never faded, and it never got stale.  And then, when one wanted it, the bottle could be uncorked, and it would be like living the moment all over again. ~ Daphne du Maurier

if only.  but, it’s just not possible to relive a particular memory in the same exact way as the very first time it was ever experienced.  precisely why we ought to make our moment so present, that we need not relive it all over again.  even the smell of a particular scent, can’t be exactly duplicated.  life is not a controlled environment.  that’s the beauty of the present.  and the next present.  it’s unique.  it can’t be duplicated.  the best is to make the present relevant and fresh.  a summer breeze.  capture it.  it has a scent.  so fresh.  take a deep breath.  if only…every breath is a present now for thebestdressup now!
