“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.”~Mark Twain
just the other night, at a cocktail party book launch for my bff Ingrid Hoffmann‘s new cookbook, Latin D’Lite, i was once again reminded that no one shines alone. the event was lovely; family and close friends were invited to share the special moment with her. Latin D’Lite is a luvMUST cookbook, that includes over 150 illustrated easy to follow latin recipes with a healthy take. i was thrilled to receive a copy of the cookbook, which my dear friend tony offered me. back at home, i leafed through the cookbook, and read the dedication. to my surprise, i found that the precise sentiment i felt at the book event was expressed. no one shines alone. the cookbook is dedicated to her father, and to her assistant and friend, delia, and it expresses her love and appreciation for their support. we are indeed fortunate to connect with those that support our ambitions; to help us become great. really great. i would have never anticipated that a cookbook filled with healthy latin recipes would extend this sentiment. but, food does connects us. keeping close those that connects us to greatness is for thebestdressup now!
