on the 6th of november 2o12, the united states of america will elect or re-elect a president. incumbent President Barack Obama secured the democratic party nomination and mr. Mitt Romney the republican party nomination. although they both differ in a wide range of issues; they are politicians. whomever you support is your choice. fortunately, we do have choices in the united states of america. and it should be as well, the choice of every woman to support the right to make choices about their bodies. which bring us to an issue that the candidates differ about; a woman’s right to choose. President Barack Obama is pro-choice and mr. Mitt Romney is pro-life. pro-life and pro choice decisions not only impact women, who are victims of rape but as well children that are victims of sexual abuse. as i support Kristi House, an organization that provides a healing environment for all child victims of sexual abuse and their families, i am evermore aware of the important decisions these child victims are forced to face in regards to their bodies. my bff, angela, sent me an email yesterday that perplexed me, and has made me reflect on both candidates. click this link to read the full extent of the email– http://www.huffingtonpost.com/eve-ensler/todd-akin-rape_b_1812930.html. it is beyond comprehension that in the 21st century a woman’s body is a political issue. the presidential platform ought to (ad)dress their focus on the economy and the unemployment rate, among the many issues of impending importance, and stay out of a woman’s body. do indeed, dress me with this body of politics and just stay out of my body. if you can cast your vote in the united states of america, do vote your choice on the 6th of november 2012, and be thebestdressup now!
my luvFAB organization that strives to end child sexual abuse.
be thebestdressup with your choice…the united states of america presidential elections will be held on the 6th of november 2012.
